Footprints in the Sand

I saw this footprint in the sand
The silver sand the resting sand
As oceans distant kiss the reef
Such cadence in this Mayan land

And peaceful babies eyes so wide
Respect for all such cultured truth
As fishing back through eons gone
With tilted light and verdant youth

The silvered sand, the sugared touch
The palms that dance upon the air
Of all my travels, worldly wise
There’s none that served to lift my cares

Which such defined deliciousness
Like melted fondant flowing free
A crepe suzette of sweet consumed
And this is where I like to be

Where silver sand and oceans green
And walks bathed sun upon LA Playa
I saw this footprint in the sand
One winters morn at casa Maya
